Fashionista Swimsuit Edition

85 degree sun rays, turquoise-colored ocean water, white beach sand, and sweated-out edges. The warmer months are upon us which equates to poolside Sunday Funday’s. Now is the time to start re-upping our swimsuit game. While I recycle much of my beachwear year over year, I love to add a few new additions each spring.

As many of my followers know, this is my 30th year, and in celebration I’ll be hitting the coral reefs of Belize this summer with my besties. So my “swimdrobe” will receive quite a few upgrades before the trip!

I’ve gotta send a special thank you to two beautiful naturalistas that I follow, Rene Daniella (@ownbyfemme) and Jessica Franklin (@heygorjess). Not only do they inspire us with their stunning photos, but they provide AFFORDABLE fashion tips that I soak up. See pics below of some of their latest swimsuit finds for as low as $12 in addition to a few others if your budget is more flexible.

Spring Shoe Swag

spring shoe

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. I know, Christmas is over, but spring has arrived! Spring is my favorite season of all; there’s graduations, weddings, Mother’s Day and one can’t forget…my BIRTHDAY! Along with any change in seasons comes the thrill of a change in wardrobe, specifically the shoe game. Switching from boots to sandals, while keeping an occasional bootie, is what the warm months are all about. Peep toes and thick wooden heels have made a comeback and are giving me toe-calf fascination.

What looks are your feet gravitating towards this spring? Comment below after you check out some of my favorite kicks, a couple old faithfuls and some new additions to my wardrobe.

Create the Perfect Christmas Party Outfit

Beyonce & Jay-Z Leaving Their Christmas Party

This year I’ve had more Christmas parties to attend than ever which means more outfits to plan. Being the frugal fashionista I am, I am determined to stick to what is already in my closet while stepping out in style. I have become an expert at joining different pieces to create new looks.

Whether attending a red carpet affair or a house gathering, a fashionably chic yet economically responsible look is achievable. If I’m looking for comfort, I always go to my black high-waisted jeans paired with my black Dolce Vita booties. Black exudes sophistication even in rugged attire. When seeking gala-appropriate style I recycle a pencil skirt with a lace top or a romper with peep-toe stilettos.

Check out these divas who do it right including a couple of styles I put together this season. Share your Christmas party photos by tagging #discloseddoeschristmas on your social media photos and we will repost!
