This weekend I had the pleasure of attending DreamHer Fest hosted by 100 Females Business League and Ms CEO Society. DreamHer is an interactive festival of current and aspiring female entrepreneurs who gather to inspire, be enlightened, and support other female-owned businesses. Upwards of 250 women filled Studio 7 in Downtown Atlanta on Saturday to hear established businesswomen share their expertise in branding, maintaining originality, legal do’s and don’ts and other relative girl boss topics.
Attendees of DreamHer’s inaugural event were greeted by a bright, elegant room filled with modern art, a full bar sponsored by Core Water and sounds by a rockstar female deejay. Speakers included Necole Kane of Xonecole.com, Jewel Tankard of Bravo’s Thicker Than Water: The Tankards, Candace Mitchell, founder of MyAvana, Audria Richmond, author and marketing/branding strategist and more.
Mogul chats were moderated by event hosts, 100 Females founder Nicole Garner and Ms. CEO Society founder Kimber Raell. They revealed that their goal was to gather female leaders and soon-to-be-leaders in a festival format so that women could freely network, invest in other businesses, and gain powerful tools to take into their own entrepreneurial iniatives.
Kane, founder of xoNecole.com, spoke volumes on pursuing purpose over numbers. Shutting down her leading celebrity blog, NecoleBitchie.com to revamp her brand was a scary leap that took 5 years for her to take, but she admits making this decision led to freedom and a product she can be proud of. Mitchell provided us knowledge on the ever-growing relativity of technology to business. Each speaker covered the large dynamic of topics that impact the way we do business.
During the 6-hour fest, women were given the opportunity to shop vendors that included clothing lines, self-defense training, and fitness classes. Food truck, Fork & Boot provided a taste of New Orleans and tasty cupcakes were a sweet treat to top off with a smooth drink from the bar.
Take a look below at footage from the event and be sure to snag your ticket to next year’s event!!!
