New Music Tuesday: Just Jones ‘Perception vs. Reality’

About a year and a half ago we introduced our readers to burgeoning contemporary gospel artist, Just Jones. He has now dropped his new official EP so you know we had to head over to iTunes for an immediate download. Perception vs. Reality is the title and it certainly lives up to its name.

Just Jones opens up about his truths revealing that he, like all of us, has had demons that he has had to conquer. The EP consists of the following five-song track list:

1. I Had Heard

2. Never Let Me Go

3. Dirty Laundry

4. I Ain’t Ever

5. With You

My favorite records are “Dirty Laundry” because of its raw, uncut realness and “I Ain’t Ever” because the beat is sick. With racy lyrics, Just Jones is setting the trend for the new direction of gospel music, reaching audiences usually left untouched by this market.

I would hate the church for sure/Preachers always wanting more/All they do is talking/Things they will never change/All they care about is change change, get it/That girl on the choir’s a whore/The boy go through the back door/This is what the world tells me/This is not what I believe/I ain’t ever did nothing He ain’t paid for

Please click these formats iTunes  Google Play Amazon to download this EP full of positive lyrics and a message that every one can relate to. Also be sure to follow Just Jones on YouTube for updates on music releases and performances.
