Mid-Week Inspiration: You Dream Big, God Dreams Bigger (Part II)

It is important to recognize that we have an all-powerful God conducting this ship. We limit ourselves because we do not see how the big picture will be obtained. If we left our destiny to our own human ability, we would surely fail. We are fortunate to have the greatest force on our side aiding us in those areas we just could not accomplish in our own strength.

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” – Matthew 19:26

Once we have discovered what we are skilled in and love to do as so directed by God, we must trust Him to make it happen. He will order our steps and point us to the path of our destiny. He will open doors that we did not know existed leaving us with no option but to walk through them.

The most essential (and toughest part) of purpose is to surrender our will. We will be required to give up the things that will hinder our process. We may not understand how those things would hold us back but believe me God knows what’s best for us and that’s all He wants. We may have to walk away from a significant other who is not creating growth in our life. We may have to let go of certain habits or hobbies that will slow us down or even family and friends who just aren’t providing the positivity that we need.

It’s hard to let go of those closest to us. This is not to say that we have to cut them off, but we may need some time apart so that we become whole. Then, when we are ready to be around this person again, we are not affected by their actions.

Surrendering control and submitting to God’s direction is no easy task. However, we should look at it as a privilege. We have someone with all knowledge giving us the tools to success; our own inside guru on achieving our purpose. What an advantage?!

I am grateful that I do not have to make the decisions all on my own. I have a God whose main motive is my happiness within my calling. He’s the best Father, caregiver, director, and friend I could ever ask for. His vision for us is limitless. Remove the restrictions in your mind and walk into your great destiny.

Great read as always. I think you should compile these and put together a book. You could help a lot of people.
