The TI release-from-prison celebration was short lived as he was taken back to prison today for violating his probation. T.I. was just released on Wednesday.
Prison officials accused T.I of misleading them by saying that he would have low-key travel accomodations to the Atlanta halfway house he was scheduled to stay in. However, his crew picked him up in a tour bus to celebrate his release.
Law enforcement told TMZ: “When a prisoner is incarcerated in a low or medium security prison … prison officials can allow the inmate to use a private, unescorted mode of transportation to travel from the prison facility to the halfway house.”
TMZ reported that T.I.’s wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle claimed when the tour bus arrived at the Arkansas prison yesterday, prison officials “Walked him over, took pics and told him good luck in life.”
Upon T.I.’s arrival to the halfway house, T.I. was ordered to a local prison for not leaving in the van he allegedly stated would be picking him up.
Tiny continued, “This is a bunch of bulls**t … they should have said something before he got on the bus … T.I. would have politely gotten into a van.”
She added, “T.I. is one of the strongest individuals I know … and they just trying to break him in more ways than one and it’s not gonna work! ‘Cause what God got for him, can’t no man take that away … period!”
T.I.will serve the rest of his sentence in an Atlanta prison rather than the halfway house. He will be released September 29.
This is the greatest act of foolishness I’ve heard in a minute! You mean to tell me you are going to let a man think he’s free and snatch his freedom because of his mode of transportation? I hope T.I. comes back even harder when he is released–for real this time!
